08/29/2001 Entry: "Can you tell?"

AllLookSame? poses an interesting question...can you tell just by looking if someone is Chinese, Japanese or Korean? I took the test and only got 5 of 12 right, which was exactly average for users so far. Hopefully they'll analyze the demographics, which will be most telling.

I'm reminded of the Korean woman who owned the deli/grocery store near my work (the one which suddenly closed last year and just reopened, actually) was once trying to tell me a story about one of her regular customers. She had trouble remembering his name so I asked for a physical description. She said, "Oh, I don't know. All you white people look the same to me anyway."
