Friday, April 6, 2001 The Score Oh, and the Giants won last night 8-2, sweeping their series against the Padres. We sat in section 328. It was kinda chilly. Pac Bell Park may be warmer than Candlestick/3Com, but it's still cold in San Francisco in April.
11:07 AM PST (link) Thursday, April 5, 2001 U have nothing 2 loose but ur tungs! Memepool is sometimes frightening at echoing a daily theme. That's where they pointed out Freespeling.com (with one el). They do, by the way, also have "freespelling.com" (spelled correctly.) Im just apauled. Earlier today I was ranting about common errors in my workplace. We don't line up in cues; we don't go through a software Q&A process; Lost things may be loose, but that's their business and nothing we do ourselves, unless we've loosened them. And architects (noun) work on feats of architecture (also a noun). Though even I admit I have blocks with "separate" and "sentence," I also don't pronounce the word "subSEEquent". I post so I can let it go. Please let me not be a freak about this, too.
01:11 AM PST (link) Wednesday, April 4, 2001 The package was open, anyway. I guess this means I'm not gonna return that crappy game I didn't like.
08:17 PM PST (link) Looks like you're typing. Can I interrupt you? I just caught myself using the help feature in Word, asking how to compare two open documents. At least the little Mac help animation looked sincere when it was no bloody help at all.
11:36 AM PST (link) Tuesday, April 3, 2001 Strangeness comes in threes. But Tuna, oh my Tuna, At least two of the new CDs I bought (because when you're depressed, it's time to buy!) have songs about how strange the world is, or could be. Joe Jackson thinks the world is stranger than he is, and Bis think that the World isn't strange enough. Does it surprise anyone that my purchase decisions were actually influenced by these songs or song titles? I didn't think so.
03:50 PM PST (link) Heavy Sigh. Because slightly ill + tired + high libido the day before + work stress = depressive crash. Blargh. Dow, Schmow. My internal stock market is crashing today. Oh well. That just means it's time to buy...or, um...something. [Watching overextended metaphor fall apart.] Maybe I'll be in a better mood for dinner.
01:53 PM PST (link) Monday, April 2, 2001 The Short Answer. I'm not sure that I like my new haircut. I think it might be a little bit short. But at least I know that it will grow.
03:35 PM PST (link) I have these beats inside my head Currently rocking my world: The Bis' "Beats at the Office".
11:29 AM PST (link) Where is your head, Catherine? "Libra: Whatever could they mean? I'm so focused this morning...focused on not getting anything done. Maybe the time change affected me more than I thought. Has anyone seen my head?
11:24 AM PST (link) Sunday, April 1, 2001 ...but the pun is entirely mine.
05:10 PM PST (link) Skeletons in my closet. That's just wierd, Roommate. You know, of course, that I come from a long line of Odd Fellows...so stay out of my closet.
